Turnford are in the first division of this premier league and they played their final National Premier match of the season on Sunday against Hucclecote from Gloucestershire. This proved to be a fierce and contested match throughout , with both teams vying for a top ended position.
The first quarter went goal for goal with 92% shooting accuracy from Kat Short and 89% shooting accuracy from Freya Henshall. But equally the opposition had fine shooting stats too.
The speed of the centre court play from Emily Gulvin (POM) and Courtney Ferns allowed accurate passing into and around the shooting circle. The defensive skills of Kate Henshall, Peace Akinyemi, Zara Everett and Sarah Davis not allowing their attacker much drive, was commendable .
The match continued at an almost goal for goal until the final 5 minutes when Turnford found the strength and determination to take the game 63 : 59. Taking the bronze position of the league.
